About the lab
Mission
The EPHE Lab investigates how place and environmental change shape human health, well-being, and social equity. Rooted in health geography and public health, we combine spatial analysis, data-driven methods, and community-engaged research to generate evidence that drives meaningful policy and real-world solutions.
Vision
A world where no community's health is determined by its vulnerability to environmental change — where place-based knowledge drives equitable policy, and every person, regardless of geography or circumstance, has access to a healthy, sustainable environment.
Our work
Through spatial analysis, data-driven methods, and community-engaged research, we address some of the most pressing health and environmental challenges of our time.
Our work generates evidence to inform policies and interventions that strengthen climate resilience, promote environmental sustainability, and advance health equity, particularly among vulnerable and underserved populations.
Ultimately, the lab seeks to produce actionable knowledge that supports equitable, sustainable, and place-based solutions to health challenges in a rapidly changing world.
